Artist's Description
This is my latest piece of equine art. It is called 'Almost Dun...', and it is an acrylic painting of two dun color mustang fillies in the Pryor Mountains grooming each other - the way horses do. 'You scratch my back, and I'll scratch yours.'
About Rosellen Westerhoff
Rosellen is an artist who has spent a large part of her life out in nature and in the close company of animals. One of her greatest enjoyments is to convey the emotions and insights she has gained from these experiences into her artwork. Growing up in Gunnison, Colorado, Rosellen was surrounded by the grandeur and splendor of the Colorado mountains. Therein came the enjoyment of sharing time with horses and other family pets. Her interest in art blossomed in high school, and it is here she received a Gold Medal award from Hallmark for an oil painting titled "Friends". This crystallized her passion for art and animals. Rosellen is a graduate from the Colorado Institute of Art, and a graduate of Metropolitan State University of Denver...

There are too many missing out on this beautiful piece of work. You convey the actions so well. I'll keep my eye out for these girls when I'm in the Pryors! This is great.
